Select Ready Foods is seeking a highly motivated full-time **Retail Sales Lead**. This role will focus on the launch of our new retail line emphasizing on healthy alternatives and plant-based offerings, developing and maintaining existing business while also seeking new business opportunities at retail, deli & HMR. This position require_s_ an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent communication skills, analytical competency, and the ability to use data and gain insights to develop customer-specific strategies to drive positive sales growth.

**Job Purpose**

The Retail Sales Lead will join our team in developing strategies and processes to achieve revenue growth. In this role, you will represent the organization in promoting and selling the company's products and services to national and regional retail chains.

This role will be based in our Edmonton head office and will be critical in developing, and growing sales while being instrumental in building our presence in the Canadian Market.

**Responsibilities**
- Grow and maintain an assigned portfolio of existing major Canadian retail food and grocery clients.
- Identify and develop new listings and new customers.
- Manage customers and build effective relationships across all levels of their organizations.
- Perform category reviews establishing best approach to ensure continued growth and category coverage.
- Build and maintain good working relationships both inside the company as well as outside the company with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Work with team to develop and implement a marketing & sales plan.
- Efficiently work without supervision and make decisions to effectively grow our brands.
- Provide reports and updates to the COO as required.
- Research existing competitors, products and markets and remain ahead of market changes and innovations, Monitor category trends, issues, risks, and opportunities.
- Deliver excellent quality and customer service.
- Provide sales administrative support.
- Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients remotely and (future) in person.
- Work to develop new culinary concepts in line with production capabilities and achieve bring-to-market and first-to-market opportunities.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
- Excellent organizational & time management skills.
- Strong interest in the social media space, promoting, highlighting, and showcasing our products. Creativity is an asset.

**Experience**:

- Ability to work in a team.
- Analytical ability; methodical/critical thinker and problem solver; attention to detail.
- Exceptional Social Media literacy.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, 365)
- Travel out of city and occasional travel out of province.
