**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Graduate of a Medical Office Administration Program or recognized equivalent experience
- Medical Terminology Course with proficiency in Diagnostic Imaging Terminology.
- One year recent experience within the last two years with hospital inpatient and outpatient registration and Admission/Discharge/Transfer database
- Experience in Meditech, ITS, Admissions, CWS and IMPAX.
- One year experience with computer software including Microsoft Office programs
- Accurate keyboarding skills with a minimum of 50 w.p.m.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient/client centred care
- Excellent communication skills and ability to respect the confidentially of personnel and patient information
- Compliance with confidential requirements under the Niagara Health System Privacy Policy
- Demonstrated professional attitude while interacting with the public, patients, employees and medical staff
- Ability to cope with frequent interruptions while maintaining deadlines and expected registration turnaround time and work in a multi-tasking environment
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Must be available for all shifts including midnight, afternoon and weekend shifts, vacation replacement, paid holidays and sick time with mínimal notice
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
- Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a new hire requirement of the job unless you have an exemption based on medical or on a ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
