**Position Summary**

The Supervisor, Administration ensures excellent service to the Disability Services team members, covered members and employers by providing leadership and guidance to a team of Low Intervention Facilitators and Case Assistants. This role ensures that all administrative tasks and processes are completed efficiently and in compliance with ASEBP standards, timelines, and policies. This role also acts as a liaison between team members, other ASEBP departments and external stakeholders as required, fostering a collaborate environment. This position reports to the Manager, Disability Services.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Provide day to day leadership, supervision, and performance management within the disability services team. _
- Supervise the team in a manner consistent with ASEBP's strategic direction and pursuit of operational excellence.
- Provide regular coaching and mentoring to employees, ensuring they receive timely feedback to maximize their performance.
- Oversee daily administrative operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and timely.
- Provide support and guideance to the Low Intervention Facilitators in their case management of the low interventoin EDB claims.
- In collaboration with QA Advisor, conduct quality assurance reviews to inform performance management.
- Conduct performance reviews in accordance with ASEBP's performance review process.
- In conjunction with the manager, participate in recruitment, orientation and training of new employees.
- Provide ongoing training and feedback to team members regarding organizational policies, team processes while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork.
- Encourage staff professional development, goal setting and career progression, and identify relevant opportunities.
- Assist in the oversight of day to day operations to promote successful DS process and claims management outcomes._
- In collaboration with the manager, oversee the creation and scheduling of operational reports and monitoring of key performance metrics of the adminstrative team.
- Assist manager with strategic planning, work allocation and prioritization to best meet priorities.
- Ensure the team is meeting service standards and identify opportunities for improvement of administrative processes and workflows.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting disability management and administration.
- Ensure the team has a consistent understanding of plan documents and that this is reflected in practices and processes.
- Recommend plan design changes and/or revisions based on observations of internal and external trends, common inquiries/challenges, and best practice standards.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationships within the DS department _
- Collaborate with DS leadership to support effective and efficient administrative processes for all claims management activities.
- Serve as a primarly point of contact for DS leadership and team members, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and approach escalated issues using a solution-focused approach.
- Identify opportunities for changes to processes to improve efficiencies and effective claims management outcomes.

**Your Education and Experience**
- Diploma or degree in a related field.
- Five to ten years of related experience, including experience in leading teams and supervising others.
- Experience working within group benefits in the education sector and or a health & welfare trust considered an asset.

A combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Extensive knowledge of the principles of effective administrative processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in monitoring and reporting trends, including identifying relevant opportunities and solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and mentor team members, including setting goals, providing direction and feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ability to lead through organizational changes and help the team adapt to new processes, procedures, and policies.
- Strong written and verbal skills with an ability to effectively communicate complex benefit information to a variety of audiences.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to effectively work and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, compassion and professionalism.
- Ability to exercise initiative, discretion, and sound judgement in making decisions that align with the organization's goals and values.
