We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for an **Instructor - Trades** in the Facilities Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Manager, Transport Infrastructure Maintenance and working as a member of a cross functional team, you will develop and deliver training programs and SOPs that meet the department’s operational needs and align with federal practice codes and provincial safety regulations. You will have (or will attain) instructor certification to deliver onsite equipment and safety training.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Building a common training strategy, as well as developing personalized plans to align with team members’ roles and future aspirations
- Tracking, scheduling and overseeing training plans for team members using ERP system
- Delivering one on one and classroom training for a range of topics
- Performing compliance audits and process validation of maintenance procedures
- Developing solutions to resolve training gaps
- Reviewing work order documentation and assets for accuracy
- Monitoring and tracking key performance indicators and other metrics

**Key qualifications include**:

- Five years’ demonstrated experience working in an airport and/or industrial plant with five years’ experience instructing trades staff, supplemented by a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Science or Engineering; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Proven experience with various systems including heating and cooling, conveyors, lighting controls and automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work effectively under pressure; ability to multitask and prioritize between conflicting needs
- Advanced skills with MS 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and SharePoint
- Strong mindset for, and experience with, safety excellence and leadership
