**The Opportunity**
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the full recruitment cycle including; creating job descriptions, screening, interviews and drafting of job offers to meet department and company goals.
- Support our internal team by responding to any team member inquiries and requests.
- Work with Training and Development Team on the onboarding of team members including HR and Legislative Training.
- Drive the Touchpoint Program with all new team members and as they switch roles or departments.
- Manage the development of and execution of all Health and Safety related initiatives including; drafting policies, maintaining boards, JHSC meeting minutes, monthly inspections.
- Lead focus groups with various team members as required to driving positive changes in the workplace.
- Work with the digital team on company platforms related to recruitment including indeed and glassdoor.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive personnel records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures and ongoing maintenance to ensure compliance.
- Conduct exit Interviews where required.
- Ensure timesheet submissions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist with the administration of team culture and employee engagement initiatives.
- Lead all aspects of new hires onboarding from job offer to arrival; including announcements, department notifications (IT/Finance), Hire Form completion, input HR systems.
- Responsible for RIBO onboarding and terminations including recording numbers, employment verification letters and Terminations.
- Draft letters and forms for leaders as needed.
- Assist in attendance and performance management of team members and work with leaders to ensure legislative requirements.
- Assist with the management of leaves and appropriate documentation where required
- Provide assistance in organizational research and succession planning.
- Assist in the education of the benefits and wellness plans and ensure the team is engaged in these programs.
- Assist in the preparation and reporting on company surveys
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.
- Post Secondary Education in Business or Human Resources, or relevant field
- CHRP/CHRL or working towards obtaining license
- 3-5 years of experience working in human resources
- Strong knowledge of employment standards and applicable legislation.
- Ability to provide coaching and mentoring to others
- Exercises excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Strong morals and ethics and commitment to staff privacy.
- Attention to detail is key
- Excellent Problem Solving Skills
- Demonstrates strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Possesses a proactive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
This position is based in Niagara and will require an in office component. Hybrid work arrangements are typically after training period and would be 3 days per week in office at minimum. Travel to Branch offices would also be required on an as needed basis.
