**Duties**:
The position of Manager, Visitor Experience at Forillon National Park manages the development and administration of the Visitor Experience Program using a client
- and market-based approach within the context of national park conservation.

The program includes visitor services, tourism sector relations, interpretation programs, pricing, product development and promotion. In this capacity, the roles and responsibilities of the position are as follows:

- Manage a multidisciplinary team including operations team leaders (reception and interpretation) and a product development officer;
- Collaborate with teams in other Field Unit functions (resource conservation, external relations, asset management, etc.) and throughout the Parks Canada Agency;
- Provide leadership and guidance on the management of visitor experience program issues;
- Contribute to the implementation of national initiatives and priorities;
- Manage the development and implementation of continuous service improvement processes.

EDUCATION:

- Degree from a recognized university with specialization in recreation, tourism, business administration, marketing, or other relevant discipline, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

- Significant experience* in managing projects, programs, initiatives or operational and strategic issues in the recreation and tourism field ;
- Significant experience* in managing an operational team for project/program coordination ;
- Experience in budget management ;
- Experience in identifying visitor and/or customer service needs.

**Significant experience is defined as at least 2 years of experience within the last 5 years

ASSET:

- Experience working with Indigenous communities ;
- Experience working with external partners from different backgrounds (municipal, non-profit, events).
