- Emergency Water Restoration Technician_

**_JOB SUMMARY:_**
To attend job site, assess and contain damage, mitigating any secondary damage, and prepare site for rebuild division. Perform emergency water extractions, emergency demolition of wet building materials, setting up drying equipment, monitoring/taking moisture readings, mitigation from a fire loss including structure cleaning, work with content and demolition.

**_DUTIES:_**
- Must demonstrate and be able to effectively communicate and have knowledge in water/mold damage mitigation
- Work alongside and provide guidance to emergency technicians
- Work with Project Managers/Supervisors to develop and implement an action plan taking into account possible restoration opportunities
- Perform mitigation tasks including removal of wet flooring, baseboard, cutting drywall, collecting and disposing debris, etc.
- Prep jobs for rebuild division and obtain material samples
- Be able to direct Emergency Technicians and subcontractors on jobsites as necessary
- Train technicians on methods of water extraction and equipment set up
- Use specialized devices such as ozone, fogging, and dry ice blasting machines, etc.
- Delivering and/or picking up items/equipment on projects
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and other required machinery and equipment
- Track supplies/ inventory and submitting purchase requisitions
- Occasional content manipulation/handling
- Occasionally assist in mold remediation with forced air PAPR
- Perform any general labour task required
- Act in accordance with internal and external health and safety practices
- Provide a professional level of customer service
- Keep work site clean and organized at all times
- Participate in specialized training
- Participate in an on-call emergency response team related to water damage, fire damage, break-in, etc.

**_QUALIFICATIONS:_**
- Must be reliable, customer-oriented and willing to be part of a team
- A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered
- General knowledge of property restoration field
- IICRC certifications such as WRT, FSRT, etc.
- Ability to work in various environments under a variety of conditions
- Valid driver’s license, providing a satisfactory driving record
- Self-starter with excellent follow-through and problem solving skills
- Sufficient reading and writing
- Physically able to work in PPE including respiratory protection

**_WORKING CONDITIONS:_**
- Be available to work business hours from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, may have to work late/start early to facilitate some jobs.
- Be available to respond and/or attend emergency calls evenings and weekends (on-call)
- May have to work evenings and weekends to start or finish up a job
