**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
**Responsibilities**:
- Process end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for staff and monthly payroll for Council
- Management of Payroll, including employee files and records, government remittances, ROE’s,
T4’s, T4A’s, general ledger reconciliations for payroll accounts, and any other reporting requirements
- Administer company pension and benefits plans
- Ensure Collective Agreement is followed and adhered to
- Management and oversight of Accounts Receivable, including Water Billings
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist Director of Finance with budget preparation and forecasting
**We’re hiring a Fulltime**
**Payroll / Financial Analyst**
- Research, identify and process potential grant opportunities as applicable to the Town
- Provide support to the Director of Finance to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations
- Support the year-end financial statement audit
- When required, manage counter service, process payments, and handle general inquiries
- Assist Director of Finance with special projects
**What we’re looking for**:
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma (Business, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably in a similar role
- Full-cycle payroll experience, including knowledge of payroll regulations and laws
- Experience with unions (compliance, reporting, and collective agreements)
- Excellent communication skills with staff and the public
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with grants management
- Experience preparing budgets and forecasts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Municipal experience is an asset
