**Position Summary**:
You will work closely with the site manager and project manager to optimize the daily operations of Unbuilders’ Victoria and Vancouver Island region.

You are a seasoned trades professional that is used to being hands-on while running day to day operations including management of crew on site and following a job schedule. Your trades experience allows you to solve problems and has sharpened your critical thinking. You are comfortable working alone but can lead multiple crew members and sites while communicating with all layers of the organization.

This role is ideal for someone who is looking to grow their leadership skills with a small team and organization. Our hourly rate for this role is between **$30 and $35 an hour. **(experience depnding).

**Reports to**:

- Regional Manager

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of on-site construction experience
- 2+ years of site management or organizational leadership experience
- 1+ years of chain saw experience
- 1+ Machinery experience (BobCat, Forklift, Zoom Boom, Excavator)
- 2+ years reading blueprints, plans, etc.
- 3+ years of demolition experience
- Fall Pro, Working at Heights, First Aid, Asbestos Awareness certification an asset

**General Responsibilities**:

- Working with Project Manager to book sub-trades, as needed
- Executing daily objectives onsite
- Completing necessary safety documents such as daily field level hazard assessments and leading on site tool box talks
- Enforcing company policies and procedures at all times
- Prioritizing safety in your actions and site conditions
- Advising management when aware of contraventions of Health and Safety policies
- Ability to read and following site drawings and plans

**Job-Specific Responsibilities**:

- Oversee site operations, manage and support site staff
- Monitor project performance and provide regular feedback to the management team
- Play a key role in the training, and maximizing performance of on-site staff
- Active participation in daily and weekly operations meetings
- Communicate operations schedule (both daily and monthly) to site staff and management
- Support in quality control and efficiency processes and improvements across operations
- Coordinate with partner companies for delivery of salvage material from site
- Collaborate with Safety Manager to ensure occupational health and safety policies and procedures are being adhered to and enforced
- Work closely with Project Management and the Regional Manager to setup sites ahead of crew mobilization
- Notifying regional manager when tools and equipment have become unsafe and are tagged out

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00-$35.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Construction: 5 years (preferred)
- Demolition: 3 years (preferred)
- Chain saw: 1 year (preferred)
- Plan reading: 2 years (preferred)
- Site Management: 2 years (preferred)
- Machinery experience (BobCat, Zoom Boom, Excavator): 1 year (preferred)
