As Supply Chain Planning and Analytics Manager, reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you set business priorities and support the Supply Chain department by meeting and enhancing its reporting and analytics needs. The manager establishes metrics, goals, checks, and balances and is responsible for overall accountability in the areas of inventory, distribution, and data management.
**Responsibilities**:
- Works closely with the quality and commercial teams to analyze and proactively manage inventory at risk and thereby reducing loss on inventory.
- Perform advanced analysis on key initiatives and metrics to recommend actions that will increase efficiencies/reduce costs/drive revenue
- Realize reduction in inventory levels and improved performance through consistent inventory reports including variance analysis, root cause investigation and corrective action follow-up.
- Monitor and improve key parameters and controls related to finished goods and raw material inventory, to ensure high service levels.
- Be the supply chain point of contact for commercial teams to develop or enhance stock agreements for negotiation with customers.
- Manage raw material expediting and Batches on Hold Report.
- Ensure team members achieve planning goals for raw materials and finished goods in support of the sales forecast.
- Control movement of materials and packaging components throughout Supply Chain including Plant and external suppliers.
- Manage all the assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and distribute these metrics and corresponding analytics on a timely basis.
- Design, enhance and own daily and weekly sourcing and inventory reports.
- Continuously support the supply chain team and other functional areas with data extracts, dashboard reporting and performance analytics support.
- Recognition and definition of key supply planning master data, ensuring cross functional alignment and high quality of consistency to ensure a strong foundation for analysis.
- Collaborate with IT developers to mine data and develop queries to provide information for decision-making.
- Develop pragmatic decision-making models using statistical methods and operations research to measure, standardize and optimize supply chain elements.
- Lead modeling projects to understand and enhance supply planning processes; develop project plans directing tasks of analysts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a Supply Chain/Operations required
- M.B.A. would be an asset
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in analytical, data intensive operations/supply chain management and or/finance roles with experience managing a team
- Strong knowledge of operational supply chain processes including the flow of materials and information
- Strong analytical skills with experience converting Data Analysis into business level recommendations
