The core mandate of the Field Supervisor is to provide supervision and organization of field-level employees and fleet assets, while actively engaged in fleet operations in a safe and efficient manner. The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the completion of service orders, directing Operators on job responsibilities, and safety responsibilities, and providing training and coaching as necessary.

The Field Supervisor works closely with management to provide employee competencies, performance reviews, and disciplinary action when necessary. The Field Supervisor responds to customer inquiries and technical/service needs, communicates with customers on the resolution of service or contract issues, and helps maintain good customer relations. As a secondary mandate Field Supervisors may be responsible for the servicing, operation, maintenance, and repair of fleet units.

**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provides supervision, leadership, guidance, and training to field staff.
- Responsible for the planning, mobilization of equipment, and execution of projects.
- Provides the organization of daily tasks on projects, monitoring the safety and efficiency of field employees in their tasks.
- Presents information to field staff and communicates effectively to organize and lead day-to-day tasks and ongoing changes to work scope.
- Responds in a timely, effective, and professional manner to common inquiries and complaints.
- Acts as a liaison between field staff, field sales, management, and clients by relaying work orders, messages, and information daily.
- Provides enforcement of fleet administration standards and vehicle operating policies.
- Assures vehicle-related functions and activities comply with established laws, codes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Direct off-site maintenance, repair, and recovery functions for roadside vehicle malfunctions.
- Work with operations administrative staff to communicate with drivers who repeatedly hand in incomplete or unsigned and coded field tickets and/or have logbook infractions.
- Work in conjunction with the human resources department to administer and track discipline of front-line employees and participate in employee evaluations as needed.
- Recommend transfers, reassignment, termination, and disciplinary actions.
- Conducts competency training of field personnel.
- Works in conjunction with the HSE and Service departments to complete monthly inspections and audits.
- Strong communication skills, able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2-5 years of directly related experience and extensive experience in field-level fleet operation.
- Project management, leadership, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Oil Field Industry knowledge, as well as tank truck & fluid hauling experience & knowledge with proven success in field-level job tasks
- Strong ability to read work instructions, follow maps and road signs and communicate the same to employees.
- Knowledge of service offerings and company equipment
- Basic computer skills - Outlook, Excel, Word
- Strong communication skills and ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
- Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementation skills
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to maintain client and employee relationships.
