**Class 1 Transport Driver**

**Location**: Winnipeg, MB

**Term**: Permanent

**Dispatch Time**:Mon-Fri, 3am-5am
- MUST BE able to work early mornings (3:00am to 5:00am start times)

**Pay**: $26.78ph (after 90 days-probation period, will raise to $27.81ph)

**Overtime**: > 40 hours; > 8 hours per day.

**Location**: 500 Pandora Ave W, Winnipeg, MB R2C 1N1

**Routes**: Local

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Maintain your truck and trailer in good condition. Report all problems to management.
- Conduct daily pre & post trips.
- Use of electronic logs
- Make sure that your pallet jacks are in good mechanical condition.
- Report any breakdowns or malfunctioning of equipment.
- Pick up, deliver and load/unload product
- Document all required information accurately and legibly, using driver logbook, trip reports, accident/incident reports and maintenance of temperature on reefers.
- As a company representative maintain a respectable and courteous rapport with customers and producers.
- Be punctual for scheduled appointments and dock times.
- Work Schedule would be Monday through Friday working approximately 40 hours per week
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong interpersonal skills and be able to function effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Must possess strong and effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A reliable team player.
- Ability to work early mornings (3:00am to 5:00am start times).
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Know and abide by the company Driver’s Policy Manual, Safety and GMP policies.
- Know and abide by the MTO regulations and all local traffic regulations.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
- Must be physically fit, able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to handle large workload, loading trailers with pallet jacks.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma (or equivalent) is required.
- Class 1 license
- Clean driving abstract
- Minimum 2 years of Class 1 driving experience
