The Department of Medicine possesses a strong track record of academic excellence. **Responsibilities**:
Within the Department of Medicine, research is conducted by senior investigators, new and mid-career faculty and postgraduate trainees. An ability to effectively communicate with these various types of Investigators is essential. In addition, the Incumbent would provide teaching and ongoing workshops on experimental design, data organization and archiving and statistical analysis to trainees and new faculty.
- Qualifications Education:
- PhD in statistics or biostatistics or an equivalent combination of education and experience

**Experience**:

- 3 years' work experience in a related academic research environment - Experience in most of the tools, SAS, Stat, SQL, R, MS Office Suite, SPSS

**Required Skills**:

- PhD in statistics or biostatistics or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in health economic evaluations and quality improvement methods is an asset
- Experience in most of the tools: SAS, SPSS, Stat, SQL, R, MS Office Suite
- Ability to manage numerical data
- Ability to perform statistical analysis
- Ability to form and present results, including clear interpretations
- Ability to prioritize projects with competing deadlines
- Ability to manage time and resources, work independently and effectively as a team member to achieve department goals
- Communication skills to describe concepts effectively to both novice and sophisticated users
- Must be able to travel between Hospital, University and Research Institute sites within London
- May occasionally need to work outside regular business hours
