What you’ll be doing

As the Director, IT Project Management, you‘ll be joining CIBC’s CBPT to manage delivery of a portfolio of innovative projects. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of 5 to 10 Project Managers and Project Coordinators.

How you’ll succeed- Strategic development & execution - Manage the day to day project or Program activities of highly complicated project(s), in an inter-related strategic program following Technology’s project performance standards. Perform high tactical business planning and return on investment outcomes. Initiate, plan, execute, control and close out the program or project with an emphasis on project inter-dependency management. Establish department policies and procedures. Must ensure that all necessary risk assessments and risk assessment processes are carried out at the appropriate time. Must ensure projects for which they are responsible meet the requirements of CIBC’s standards, policies, and procedures.-
- Strong leadership - Be a daring and authentic leader who is passionate about developing and coaching to bring out the best in people. Direct, motivate, develop and manage performance of the management team and key staff.

Who you are- You can demonstrate experience in: end to end project delivery and project management as an IT Director, or in a similar role (8-10 years).
- Helping to create a program overview of all projects being delivered to support the Intria (CIBC Cheque and Cash) business. Alignment of projects may include links to infrastructure, business, regulatory or enterprise driven themes.
- Develop a view by key supplier of program delivery progress and status. Key suppliers include FIS, Symcor, IBM and DXC.
- Organize financial budgets for Intria Technology inclusive of logging approval history and changes.
- Drive adherence to project governance principles and standards for CIBC’s enterprise delivery framework.
- Create summary views of program progress to drive recurring executive communication updates.
- Ability to identify program efficiencies and streamline delivery is a key.
- You must have previous experience establishing and maintaining stakeholder and sponsor relationships and you have experience in integration projects and keen interest in architecture and high level design.- Your influence makes a difference.
