The Unit Manager is responsible for the day-to-day unit operation including direct supervision of unit staff. This role interacts with site administration, physicians, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members on a daily basis and provides clinical support to patient/resident care by exception only. The position facilitates and fosters interdisciplinary participation in patient/resident care activities and coaches, mentors, motivates and empowers clinical staff. The Unit Manager creates a climate of interdepartmental respect and collaboration, and adheres and models the Covenant Health mission, vision and values. The responsibilities of this position are focused around four critical aspects of care and service: People and teams. Access and flow. Quality and safety. Efficiency and resources. This position is non-unionized.

**Required Qualifications**:
Bachelor and/or Masters of Science in Physical Therapy/ Occupational Therapy. Graduation from an accredited university program. At least 5 years clinical experience. Course in health administration/management.
**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Ability to work with numerous interruptions; realistically may involve some direct patient care skills; working extended hours on various projects. Demonstrated communication skills and ability to manage an interdisciplinary team.

Strong problem solving & critical thinking skills. Ability to work in a fast paced, highly stressful environment. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
