BRP is seeking a Data Quality Analyst who will play an active role in developing data quality framework and procedures to enhance the accuracy and integrity of BRP’s data. This position will also be responsible for developing proactive approaches, data analysis tools and methods to support the profiling, evaluation and validation of our data quality. This position will work within a network of product owners, data architects, data engineers, technologists and other data management professionals to ensure our data is of the best quality and fit for use. This is an exciting opportunity to drive activities that will leverage the value of our data to support innovation, revenue growth, and increased efficiency through effective management of our data assets.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities generally include but are not limited to:
Providing expertise and guidance on, as well as contributing to the development, sustenance and improvement of the Data Quality Program. This includes:
Establishing process governance related to data quality to ensure data accuracy, viability, traceability, integrity and value.

Identifying data quality risks, facilitating root-cause analysis, resolving and communicating data quality issues impacting business analytics.

Building data quality monitors, models, processes, and controls.

Participating in projects to provide expertise and advise on the framework of data quality guidelines and standards, including the approach to data quality assessment, monitoring and validation.

Aligning activities and deliverables of the Data Quality Program to the Data Governance Framework and roadmap and contributing to the data strategy mandate.

Establishing and maintaining effective communications and working relationships with stakeholders to ensure quality and integrity of BRP data.

Building and delivering comprehensive and professional data quality metrics/dashboards, reports and/or presentations for BRP management, tailoring deliverables to the appropriate level of detail.

Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including policies and process governance, for all data quality processes, procedures, metrics and controls.

Providing coaching in support of Data Quality initiatives by identifying training needs, providing support for any formal training required to maintain data quality and integrity, provide mentoring on understanding BRP data.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

A Bachelor's degree in business technology, computer science, mathematics, information systems or a related study, or equivalent related project experience.

Familiarity with Data Quality platforms such as Informatica, Collibra, etc. is preferred.

Knowledge of linking technical elements (Data Models) to business elements (Business process mapping) is preferred.

Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects; issue management experience.

A strong ability to work in undiscovered, unstructured territories and formalize processes that are currently not formalized.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence and orient business and technical audiences toward a common goal that is satisfying for all stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills and experience working with Key Performance Indicators.

Attention to detail and the ability to deliver a mandate with great autonomy - self-driven.

Bilingualism, spoken and written (French and English).

ASSETS

Knowledge of data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).

Knowledge of database structures and querying tools (SQL, MySQL, OLAP, Data Warehouse, etc.).
