**What we are looking for**:
The Emergency Department Clinical Leader is a Health Professional who, in collaboration with the Patient Care Manager, is responsible and accountable for demonstrating competent leadership and patient centered care. The Clinical Leader is accountable for the day-to-day clinical coordination of nursing and non-nursing activities through facilitation and system coordination activities, reporting to the Patient Care Manager. Your well-developed leadership and critical thinking skills, coupled with an outcomes-focused approach, will enable you to successfully lead and coordinate care within our services. You will be a self-directed health care professional and will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment dedicated to the delivery of high quality, patient focused interdisciplinary care.
**Compensation**:
**BAND F**: $42.71 - $53.32 per hour
**What you bring to the role**:
Minimum 3 years practical related and current experience as an emergency nurse
Completion of all relevant requirements, including certification requirements (ACLS, TNCC, ENPC).
Degree or equivalent credentials required, or in progress.
Advanced clinical skills

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Clinical Lead is accountable for performing duties in a manner that demonstrates commitment to developing a culture of quality, patient and staff safety through accountability, respect, excellence, reliability, trust and teamwork and by:
Acting as the “face of the unit” with all stakeholders.
Providing staff supervision and unit scheduling as required.
Actively building and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders.
Ensuring participation in patient and staff safety, including staff training, skills drills, risk reviews, safety checks, etc.
Promoting a learning environment.
Participating in continuing education programs as required.
Prioritizing and delegating patient care, including regular patient rounding.
Problem solving with patients at the center of the decision making.
Collaborating with Patient Care Manager/Director/Professional Practice Leaders on a regular basis regarding critical issues and operational needs.
Prioritizing patient access and flow within and between departments.
Coordinating / facilitating of Emergency Codes.
Completing project work and policy work as required.
Promoting and supporting MSH strategic and operational objectives.
Demonstrating evidence of quality improvement leadership.
SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provides functional supervision.
Exhibits professionalism at all times.
Clearly assigns responsibilities for tasks and decisions to others taking into account possibilities for change.
