Great Canadian is a premier Roofing and Siding company in Western Canada. For over 25 years, we have built a professional and organized firm and are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Residential Construction Estimator to join our estimating team.

The Residential Construction Estimator will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of full-cost estimates for roofing and exterior construction projects, including materials and labour.

This is a full-time permanent position on a 40-hour work week (8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday).

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Prepares manual take offs or CAD (computer assisted design) for estimates.
- Prepares accurate estimates for the material quantities and labour for the scope of work.
- Reviews drawings and specifications to complete the scope of work.
- Updates our workflow data systems.
- Reviews all final estimates to ensure accuracy.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Construction Estimating experience is considered an asset
- Completion of a College or University program in Estimating or a Construction program is considered an asset
- Experience in residential and/or small commercial construction cost estimation (preferred)
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret building specifications, blueprints and as-builds.
- Ability to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.)
