Job Overview: As the Quality Manager at Cove Drinks, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the entire beverage creation process. From product development and regulatory compliance to supplier collaboration and process optimization, you will lead our efforts in delivering outstanding and innovative beverages.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Management:

- Develop and implement robust quality control procedures for all stages of beverage creation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough shelf-life studies on products to assess and ensure quality over time.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to implement improvements based on study findings.
- Product Development and Recipe Management:

- Lead the development of new beverage products through the entire Stage Gate Process, including recipe creation, process validation, and shelf-life stability testing.
- Collaborate with production teams to simplify and innovate existing recipes, optimizing costs while maintaining product excellence.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards, ensuring full compliance with Health Canada requirements and other relevant authorities.
- Manage certifications, particularly organic certifications, and ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

Supplier Collaboration and Ingredient Management:

- Secure new ingredient samples, assess their quality, and evaluate their compatibility with existing products.
- Work closely with suppliers to maintain a consistent and high-quality ingredient supply chain.

Quality Audits:

- Regularly audit products available in the marketplace to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Implement corrective actions based on audit results to enhance overall product quality.
- Production Collaboration:

- Collaborate with the production team to ensure that each production run meets quality standards.
- Implement quality control measures within the production process to prevent defects.

Customer Complaints:

- Manage and investigate all product complaints from customers.
- Identify root causes of complaints, develop corrective actions, and work to prevent similar issues in the future.

Continuous Improvement:

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and streamline processes.
- Stay informed about industry trends and standards to ensure the company remains at the forefront of quality practices.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in food science, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within the beverage industry.
- Proven expertise in product development, regulatory compliance, and quality control.
- Knowledge of Health Canada requirements and other relevant industry standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
