More specifically, this position would include:

- Providing strategic input, stemming from research, environmental scans, and learning need analysis, and leading the implementation of the Annual APEX Leadership Summit, the APEX Awards of Excellence Ceremony, the Recognition of Entry to the Executive Ranks Ceremony
- Leading the design and development for all learning development and learning event programming of ongoing executive professional development opportunities.
- Providing oversight and strategic direction of professional development with a focus on event management and emerging online tools.
- Providing strategic input toward a sponsorship approach aimed at retaining current sponsors as well as recruiting new ones to enhance the APEX brand and fund events.
- Engaging, coordinating, and procuring world-class speakers from the private, academic, and public sectors guest speakers identifying optimal format for audience engagement for events (i.e.: Keynote speakers; discussion panels and presentation format).

**Workplace**:
As we transition toward the APEX Workplace of the Future, staff are being encouraged to plan on spending more days working in the office for day-to-day operations. New APEX employees will need to commit to 40% in-office presence.

While APEX transitions for employees in the NCR, telework agreements in support of regional inclusion are possible.
