This position will be responsible for overseeing the logístical aspects of equipment rentals, deliveries, and returns, as well as coordinating schedules to meet client and project needs and specific timelines.

The Labour & Logistics Coordinator joining our Operations team be responsible for (but not limited too):
**Labour (40%)**
- Play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of labour resources for events and projects across all aspects of Apex’s business needs.
- Representing Apex Sound & Light to the freelance workforce supporting various business needs from hiring to payroll.
- Scheduling and booking freelance crew for events using a variety of communication methods and upholding positive relationships.
- Developing and cultivating relationships both on-site and with external contacts including freelance, crew suppliers, unions & more.
- Supporting internal Apex Staff of sales, project managers, technicians, and other divisions to ensure all labour needs are met across our business needs.
- Developing, managing and maintaining labour budgets for operational activities.
- In-person and virtual management and communication of Apex’s freelance workforce.

**Logistics (60%)**
- Responsible for overseeing the logístical aspects of equipment rentals, deliveries, and returns, as well as coordinating schedules to meet client needs and project deadlines.
- Seamless management of transportation scheduling from quotes to fulfilment to efficiently maximize workflow.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, technical, and warehouse staff, to ensure seamless execution of projects and events.
- Liaise internally and externally with clients to confirm equipment requirements and provide transportation recommendations based on their specific needs and budget.
- Oversee the maintenance of Apex’s transportation vehicles.
- Manage Apex’s internal drivers schedule and maximize revenue.
- Be the Go-To for all of Apex’s transportation needs troubleshooting logístical issues and proactively address any challenges that may arise during the planning and execution phases.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including rental agreements, delivery schedules, and inventory reports.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Canadian Drivers License (G), clean driving record & passport.
- Previous experience in logistics and/or labour coordination, preferably in the audiovisual or event technology industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects and roles simultaneously.
- Bachelor's or College degree in related field or equal experience in the industry.
- Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices related to hiring, scheduling, and managing temporary staff.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support events and productions and be available to travel outside the home office’s city and country.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
