**Economic Intelligence Unit**
**Turner Drake & Partners Ltd.**
**Halifax, Nova Scotia**

**About Us**
For over four decades we have provided real estate consulting services to the business community in Canada. We started with a simple vision: (1) be the benchmark by which others are measured, (2) offer clients a unique product whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts. To do so, we have assembled a multi-disciplinary team, with diverse but complimentary skills, created a common training program (built around the University of British Columbia's real estate degree and 27 in-house training modules), nurtured a collegiate culture of working together, developed an industry leading IT system, and implemented an ISO 9001:2015 registered quality control system company-wide. We invest in people; they truly are our greatest asset. From our headquarters in Halifax, we now undertake consulting assignments from British Columbia to Newfoundland and all provinces and territories in-between. We are now seeking a Manager for our Economics Intelligence Unit to help clients make key real estate decisions.

Our Consulting Staff are firmly focused on assisting clients meet their strategic goals, not just their immediate needs. As a team they provide a smorgasbord of complementary skills, whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts. They provide clients with unique, seamless solutions to their real estate problems: Valuation & Appraisal, Property Tax, Urban and Rural Planning, Economic Intelligence (Geographic Information Systems), Counselling (Infrastructure Acquisition, First Nations' Land Claims, Hydro Electric Projects ), Lasercad® Space Measurement and Brokerage (Sales & Leasing). Service delivery is governed by a quality system registered to ISO 9001:2015. The work environment values team and individual participation in a collegiate atmosphere. The small company size (currently 32 employees) ensures that each individual is a valued member of our team: our principal focus is on individual development and growth against a backdrop that fosters innovation and ideas. We currently provide our professional consulting staff with marketing and technical support to better enable them to focus on their level of expertise. Our in-house and formal training options ensure that you will have the opportunity to further your professional development with company support, including working towards professional designations (e.g., RICS, AACI, and/or similar).

**About This Position**
As Manager, Economic Intelligence Unit, the consulting assignments you undertake will be as varied as the clients with whom you develop relationships. Our Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU) provides a practical research service, designed to meet the needs of the real estate practitioner, and help them solve their real estate problems and explore opportunities. It marries market research with real estate knowledge so that we can provide property owners with practical solutions to the challenges they face in today's rapidly changing world. Our products are uniquely tailored to meet the individual needs of each client, but can be broadly grouped into Market Surveys, Demographic Reports, Site Selection Studies, Trade Area Analyses, and Supply and Demand Surveys, conducted for a wide range of property types throughout the Atlantic Provinces. All company Divisions' work overlaps at times, but the EIU works closely with our Planning Division on a regular basis. The EIU Manager is responsible for client development, determining how best to tailor our consulting products to solve each unique real estate question, working directly on assignments and overseeing the work of team members.

**Experience and Qualifications**

Experience with GIS is an asset: the real estate adage "location, location, location" is key with our work. You will prefer to work in a team environment with colleagues who share your enthusiasm, and be interested in gaining an in-depth knowledge of what they do.
