- Loading and unloading dishwashing machines
- Carefully and meticulously washing specific items by hand, including large pots, delicate glassware and china
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils available
- Assist in setting up kitchen workstations for meal preparation
- Preparing fresh ingredients for the cook, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients
- Packing take-out orders as needed
- Regularly sanitize the kitchen and prep areas
- Assist kitchen staff to unload food supplies and deliveries
- Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags, and washing garbage cans
- Monitoring kitchen equipment and reporting any problems
- Assist in maintaining cleaning supplies stock and alerting manager when supplies are low
- Support the chef and kitchen team
- Follow all safety procedures and hygiene protocols
