**INSTRUCTOR**

**Oakville STEM Learning, an after-school learning centre in Oakville, seeks experienced English Instructor.**
**The instructor will tutor students from ages 3 to 16. All teaching materials will be provided. The instructor will work with students on an individual or small group setting. Must be flexible with changes in setting and time. This is a part-time, year-round position.**
**Requirements**:
**College student or above with major in English**
**Ability to multi-task with good work ethics**
**Patience, enthusiasm, willingness to work with childrenò**
**Hours can be discussed at the interview**
**Prior tutoring experience a plus**
**OCT Certification or Pursuing OCT Certification a plus**
**Satisfactory police check (before joining)**
**General Responsibilities**
**Report to the Centre Director**
**Provide appropriate academic coaching to students according to the Centre policies**
**Motivate and encourage students (incentives, certificates, etc.)**
**Discuss students’ progress with Centre Director after every session or end of business day**
**Provide written feedback to students**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6-9 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Master's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- teaching: 1 year (preferred)
