Overview:
We are seeking passionate and energetic Camp Leaders and Camp Supervisor to join our Coastal Kids, Gibsons team.

Under the direction of the Gibsons Area Community School coordinator, the will be responsible for adhering to policy and procedures, conflict resolution techniques, creating and ensuring a safe and fun environment for all participants and practicing best communication strategies for children. Tasks and responsibilities will include preparing activity plans, resources, and supplies, prepare program templates, lists, and activity plans, direct supervision of camp leader 2 and communicating back to community school coordinator.

will assist the camp supervisor in guidance of children 5-12 years of age during structured and unstructured indoor/outdoor play and walking field trips. Staff will share the many responsibilities around caring for children including facilitating activities, modeling, and teaching appropriate behavior, and assisting the children in solving conflicts. This position includes some light cleaning, after meals and planned activities, including toy sanitizing, and tidying play areas which is shared between staff.

**Requirements**:

- Staff must enjoy working with children of this age.
- 20 hours of child related courses, 20 hour responsible Adult course (reimbursement to the right person) or ECE/ECEA qualified
- Current Emergency Childcare First Aid Certificate (reimbursement to the right person)
- Clear Criminal Record Check (employee will pay for)
- Three reference checks (preferred both personal and business)

Wages will be $23.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on qualifications. Hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday - Friday, closed statutory holidays.
