**About the role**:
The **Chemistry Laboratory Technician** is responsible for providing hands-on support for various Water Testing Laboratory activities and projects such as water sample testing, laboratory quality control, report preparation, instrument calibration and maintenance, and advanced chemical analyses.

**In this role, you will**:

- Perform advanced chemical analyses of water and wastewater samples
- Complete weekly QA/QC including basic calibration or verification of lab equipment, cleaning, inventory, media preparation, data entry and other items related to water analyses.
- Perform instrumental chemical analysis of water samples using LC/MS/MS, HPLC, GC/MS and UV spectrophotometry and other analytical techniques

**Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include**:

- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Science
- At least 1 year laboratory analysis experience (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, microbiology, pharmaceuticals, etc.)
- Experience working with analytical instrumentation an asset (e.g., HPLC, GC, mass spectrophotometers, etc.)
