Account Manager

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the Account Manager will be responsible for delivering sales and sharing objectives for specific market segments and assigned customers. This will be accomplished by demonstrating excellence in sales fundamentals, including pipeline management, robust account plan development, and building client relationships. The Account Manager will work closely with the Sales Department, the Project Manager, and the Estimating Department to coordinate and execute campaigns within their designated customer base.

**Job Requirements**:
5+ years of sales experience in the manufacturing industry.
5+ years of sales experience in the automation / special machine industry.
Proven track record of meeting / exceeding sales targets.
Must possess a vehicle and valid drivers license
Must have the ability to travel throughout the assigned sales territory
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Account Manager’s responsibility is to service the customer by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
- Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current customers. Provides product, service, equipment, or technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
- Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales calls.
- Helps to prepare RFQ handoffs to estimating by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with the Sales Manager, Estimating, and Project Management.
- Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
- Submits orders by conferring with Estimating and the Sales Manager.
- Develops customers by providing technical information.
- Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-term issues that must be addressed, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing directives.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Attends program kickoff meetings.
- Maintains solid communication with the Sales Manager, Estimating, and Project Management on quotation time lines.
- Provides all customer documentation and acquires any additional information for the Estimating Department.
- Grows the IATGlobal Brand.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Creates PowerPoint presentations and other marketing materials.
- Attends trade shows and understand market trends.
- Maintains a strong customer relation by tending to their needs.
- Establishes cost base analysis per project. Sorts budget programs from funded programs.
- Establishes target markets in multiple business sectors.
- Follows up on machine performance and customer satisfaction.
- Assists Project Management in managing ECRs, scope changes, and timelines.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ESA and IATGlobal’s company handbook standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ESA and IATGlobal’s company handbook.
- Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone.
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings if required.
- Must be able to carry 50lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.
