We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Controller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians in construction zones or road work areas. Your expertise in traffic management will contribute to maintaining a secure environment for both workers and the public.

**Responsibilities**
- Direct traffic flow around construction sites using appropriate signals and signage.
- Monitor and control vehicle movement to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
- Communicate effectively with construction crews to coordinate activities and minimize disruptions.
- Assist in the setup and removal of traffic control devices, such as cones, barriers, and signs.
- Conduct regular inspections of traffic control setups to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with local authorities to report any issues or concerns regarding traffic conditions.
- Provide clear instructions to drivers and pedestrians regarding detours or alternate routes.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while managing potentially stressful situations.

**Requirements**:
**Must have Flagging Certification**
- Previous experience in traffic control or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of traffic management practices and safety regulations is highly desirable.
- Skills in operating heavy equipment related to paving and building activities are a plus.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in dynamic environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members, drivers, and pedestrians.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks as needed.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
