**Location**

Onsite at Flou inc. factory in Cobourg, ON

**Hours**
- Each shift includes two 15 minute breaks and one 30 minute lunch break. Breaks are both paid and included-in an 8-hour shift. Employees are expected to take their breaks and will not be compensated for missed breaks.

**Probationary Period**

The probationary period for each Flou inc. employee is three months from their start date. Employees are eligible for vacation and enrolment in the employee benefits program following the completion of their probation period and performance review.

**Compensation and Benefits**
- $22-$25 per hour based on experience plus MERCs (CPP/EI/Vacation) for daytime shifts
- 4% vacation pay per hour which is paid out with each paycheque
- Over time compensated at time and a half after 40 hours of work (as approved by Management)
- Unpaid vacation time with a maximum of 3 weeks permitted
- Paid leave includes 3 sick days, 3 personal/family emergency days and 2 bereavement days
- An employee benefits package, which is being negotiated at this time. Once implemented, Flou inc. will contribute 50% towards the program with employees participating with a contribution of 50%. Employees’ contributions will be deducted through payroll.

**Job Brief**

Flou inc. is looking for a skilled Machine Operator and Plastics Labourer to join our growing team. Your core responsibilities will be to set up, maintain, and operate machinery. You’ll ensure professional, full service to our wide range of clients, including but not limited to production, unit processing, packaging, and shipping. Client satisfaction and our product guarantee are both essential to our success as a company.

A great machine operator is self-motivated, reliable, and can work with attention to detail and personal safety. You should have a willingness to learn and improve through our hands-on training. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. We are proud of our work family environment and strive to support one another to succeed.

**Responsibilities**:
Your core responsibilities will involve monitoring, maintaining and operating Flou’s rotational moulding machine. This includes:

- Loading client product moulds with plastic powder
- Placing moulds into the oven for heating
- Cooking products through the rotational moulding process
- Unloading products from moulds for trimming
- Preparing products for quality check and inventory purposes
- Organizing approved products for packaging and shipping
- Troubleshooting minor issues that might occur during the shift
- Cleaning and inspecting machinery routinely
- Recording production on activity logs and recording of approved, defective, or packaged products
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized job site

**Job Requirements**
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience with power tools is an asset but not required
- Reliable transportation to and from work is required
- Physically demanding labour is required - operators/labourers must be comfortable lifting 80 lbs of parts on a regular basis throughout a shift
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. use of protective gear)
- Composite/steel toe and composite/steel shank (sole) safety work boots/shoes must be worn at all times (work clothes and shoes are not provided/PPE is provided).
- WHMIS training to be completed upon being hired (training will be part of paid orientation hours)
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment is essential

**Salary**: $22.00-$35.00 per hour
