**Role Overview**

The Research Assistant, Early Drug Development will play an important role in providing research assistance and support to the clinical research team. This position involves scientific activities respecting ZYUS’ nonclinical studies and clinical trials, reviewing biomedical literature, updating documentation, communication (oral, written, visualized), adherence to regulatory guidelines, and other aspects of ZYUS’ drug development program.

**Responsibility**
- **Drug Development Research Support**: Provide support with study reviews, data screening, progress reports, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and proper filing and maintenance of study documents.
- **Literature Review**: Search and monitor the literature and update internal databases of relevant scientific studies.
- **Data Review Support**: Assist the clinical research team with data review and visualization of study findings.
- **Data Entry and Maintenance**: Accurately enter and screen research data, ensuring data quality and integrity while adhering to data management protocols.
- **Communication**: Collaborate effectively with the clinical research team and other stakeholders, including Clinical Research Organizations (CROs).
- **Administrative Support**: Assist in organizing various aspects of drug development research, including assisting the clinical research team in preparation, handling, distribution, tracking, filing, and archiving of documentation and reports according to standard operating procedures.
- **Documentation**: Maintain organized and up-to-date study documentation, including filing, reporting, archiving and other relevant materials.
- **Quality Control**: Participate in quality control processes to ensure accuracy of study documentation and data.

**What this role requires**:

- Bachelor’s degree in health-related field (e.g., physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, microbiology, immunology, anatomy).
- Prior employment or experience in a research setting, such as internships or coursework, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using scientific software, data analysis tools, and statistical methods.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a research team.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Adaptability to learn new techniques and methodologies.
- Ethical and professional conduct in handling confidential and sensitive data.
