The Role

As Long-Term Care Security you will work one-on-one with a resident within a LTC environment. You will play an integral part in the overall operation of the healthcare team as a friendly companion for the resident. Your responsibilities will ultimately depend on your client’s health and needs.

Core Responsibilities:

- You will work in a team with another Security Guard to help prevent potential behavioral issues from escalating.
- Document all incidents reported by nursing staff and maintain the resident’s activity log. (May vary from location to location).
- Working cooperatively with staff, volunteers, service providers and other stakeholders to meet resident and family needs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with individuals and clients, modelling effective/efficient behavior and demonstrating acceptable professional behavior.
- Reporting to the Director of Care and taking direction from various members of the Registered nursing team, the CCAs.

*Titan’s LTC Security does not aid with activities of daily living such as brushing teeth, bathing, dressing, getting to the toilet, changing disposable garments, etc. If the resident is in a wheelchair and needs to go to an outside appointment the LTC health care staff will transfer the resident to the vehicle.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Dynamic and team oriented.
- Delivering top-class service to our customers through effective communication and ability to build and foster relationships.
- Proactive and curious with a desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check to obtain a Security License.
- Driver License & vehicle is considered an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
