The mission of the Red Door Shelter is to end homelessness for each family that comes through our doors by providing a safe, temporary refuge and critical services to support them in healing, rebuilding their lives and integrating back into a community. **Position Summary**:The Red Door is looking for an individual dedicated to making a difference and who has a passion to be part of a team that is committed to the well-being of our clients. The position is responsible for a wide variety of administrative duties in support of Red Door Family

Shelter’s administration. These include; coordinating and communicating activities, greeting and screening visitors, answering and referring inbound telephone calls, filing as assigned, receiving and inventory of In-Kind Donations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
▪ Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority posts, packages, courier services, and other correspondence.

▪ Maintain the reception, waiting area & multipurpose room in a clean, tidy and presentable manner.

▪ Accept and monitor inbound shipments, inventory and distribution as necessary.

▪ Assist with ordering all supplies and coordinate services for the Red Door Family Shelter’s

Administrative Office.

▪ Receive and update the inventory of all In-Kind donated goods.

▪ Organizing delivery of In-Kind goods to shelters as needed.

▪ Assist in monitoring, maintenance, and inventory of all storage areas.

▪ Receive and respond to calls regarding donated furniture and household items.

▪ Schedule furniture pickup appointments, in accordance with established standards and procedures.

▪ Coordinate shelter resident moves with shelter staff and the driver/moving team.

▪ Record and maintain all records related to the moving programme.

▪ Maintain inventory of donated moving program goods.

▪ Organize and maintain storage units for the moving programme.

▪ Type forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary.

▪ Organize, maintain, and coordinate office records and files in their proper locations

**Qualifications**:
▪ High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.

▪ Strong knowledge of general office procedures.

▪ Intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Office products including Outlook.

▪ Excellent communication and customer service skills

▪ Able to write correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.

▪ Adjusts and is flexible to meet changing work needs and demands.

▪ Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.

▪ Present a positive and professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers, inquiries, and other interactions.

▪ Good organization, time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills

▪ Ability to lift 35-30 lbs frequently.
