The Opportunity
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform and record regular perimeter checks of exterior and interior site systems- Maintain and repair production equipment, structures and systems, including, but not limited to: Irrigation systems, HVAC Systems and Facility Access Systems- Trouble shoot mechanical issues through pre-established procedures- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times- Effect and record the replacement of air filters- Ensure scheduled maintenance of all systems related to Greenhouse Blackout curtains, shade curtains, Grow tables, brackets and other associated equipment- Adhere to and enforce company safety procedures- Communicate effectively with team, contractors and suppliers- Oversee fire suppression inspection schedule and contractors- Receive and store deliveries to site as required- Ensure snow removal and property maintenance schedule is followed and when required remove snow from pedestrian walkways and fire exits- Assist in the sanitization of the irrigation systems as required- Other duties as assigned and when required
Experience- Problem solving skills; willingness and flexibility to foresee and overcome obstacles- Working knowledge and experience in a wide variety of maintenance tasks including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, pneumatics, pumps and drywall finishing work- Knowledge of safety procedures in accordance with WHIMIS, OHSA, as well as local regulations- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently-
- Experience working in a production facility with GMP standards an asset- Safety certifications such as: fall arrest, ladder safety, WHMIS, etc. an asset- General knowledge of greenhouse construction an asset
