We are seeking an experienced **Construction Surveyor** **located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

As a Construction Surveyor for our project in the Vancouver area, you will contribute to our team by:

- Conducting field surveys and operating survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distance, angles elevations, and contours.
- Performing site layout for trade workers for formwork, steel erection, block work etc.
- Performing QAQC checks on other Contractors' work
- Performing settlement monitoring
- Recording measurements and other information obtained during field survey activities
- Determining precise geographic locations using global positioning systems and equipment
- Preparing drawings, charts and workface plans
- Setting up, using and maintaining survey equipment including a total station, builders level and laser level
- Supervising and the directing the work of a rodman or survey helper
- Performing light laboring and cleanup duties as required for survey operations

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Have 3-5 years of relevant experience as a field surveyor, preferably in heavy civil or commercial construction
- Hold a valid Red Seal in Carpentry and or a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or an equivalent certification or have relevant field experience.
- Demonstrate field experience using a builder's level, laser level, total station and theodolite.
- Proven experience with MS Office
- Knowledge and experience with the Leica equipment an asset
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D an asset
- Have legal status to work in Canada.
