Political Science Instructor

**The Role**

The Humanities and Social Sciences Department requires a Political Science Instructor to teach the undergraduate-level course "Introduction to the Canadian Political Environment" (PO2210) in the Winter 2023 term. This part-time, sessional position will commence January 4, 2023. This course is delivered remotely.

Job Requirements

Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:

- A minimum of a Master of Arts degree or equivalent in Political Science, with a PhD preferred.
- Knowledge of different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles;
- Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologies (e.g., videoconferencing, learning management systems)
- Student-focused;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
- A high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
