**Overview**: As a Surveyor/Grademan, you will play a vital role in the construction and infrastructure projects by ensuring accurate measurements, grading, and layout based on survey data. You will work closely with engineering teams to translate design plans into physical construction, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Surveying Duties**:

- Conduct topographic, boundary, and construction surveys using advanced surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, levels).
- Set benchmarks, stakes, and markers to guide construction operations.
- Collect and analyze survey data to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare survey reports, drawings, and maps for use in construction planning and execution.
- **Grademan Duties**:

- Interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications to accurately grade and shape terrain.
- Measure and mark areas where grading is required, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Adjust equipment controls to achieve desired grading levels and slopes.
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet specified grades and smoothness requirements.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Communicate survey findings, progress updates, and potential issues to project stakeholders.
- Work closely with other construction personnel to ensure efficient and accurate execution of grading and surveying tasks.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety standards and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project specifications throughout surveying and grading activities.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Surveyor or Grademan in construction or civil engineering projects.
- Proficiency in operating surveying equipment and tools, including total stations, GPS, and levels.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail for accurate measurement and grading.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

**Education and Certification**:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Certification or licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or related certification is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

**Work Environment**:

- Work primarily takes place outdoors at construction sites, involving exposure to varying weather conditions and terrain.
- May require occasional travel to different project locations and flexibility in working hours to meet project deadlines.

Pay: From $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
