**Explore your next role**:
As a key member of the team, the **Heavy Maintenance Supervisor** is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of the crew members to complete tasks safely while meeting project milestones, staying within budget and to the standard of airworthiness.
- Mentor/support and train new staff.
- Ensure new hires receive a list of required training, ensure onboard training is complete and competencies are demonstrated.
- Check in/touch point with new assigned employee progress every 15 days during probationary period.
- Once a skill is demonstrated, sign AME logbooks within 24 hours.
- Conduct daily crew huddles to discuss safety, project milestones, timelines, and requirements to promote crew engagement.
- Responsible for the safety of all crew, ensuring that all regulations and policies are being met.
- Use UKG to capture time, vacation, sick leave, personal days, and other approved leaves accurately. Approving all timesheets prior to deadline each week
- Review and understand project requirements and obligations prior to commencement of each project or task.
- Assign and schedule tasks to staff based on skillset
- Ensure team members understand daily objectives.
- Maintain accountability to project estimates, using the most cost-effective solution.
- Complete daily reviews of the project to ensure that the work package reflects the actual status of the project.
- Ensure all project paperwork and documentation is up to date, accurate and integrity is maintained for all issued documents.
- Maintain a consistent flow of completed paperwork to tech records as it is completed.

**Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success**:

- Post-secondary education as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
- Valid TCCA M1/M2 AME License
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
- Must obtain and maintain Aircraft Release Authority (ARA) and aircraft run authority
- Ability to obtain required certified type training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Airside Vehicle Operator Permit (D-AVOP)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
