**The Team**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all aspects of on-site construction and provide daily support to our Field Operations Manager.
- Manage construction crews by assigning tasks/responsibilities and supervising the day-to-day work quality (this is a field-based position).
- Daily construction reporting & documentation.
- Lead efforts to optimize the efficiency of the construction teams.
- Quality assurance & quality control of builds.
- Always maintaining a safe working environment and completing/delegating daily safety forms.
- Warehouse duties or support, as needed.
- Collaboration with engineers, operations, and other team members.
- Mentor and train new or green employees.
- Assist with scheduling field crews, assigning resources & equipment, and providing performance feedback when requested.
- Remote work and potentially working on boats, as required.
- Assist with site logistics and moving materials to or between sites, as needed.
- Provide construction support during the planning, design, and construction phases.
- Operate power and manual tools related to the job, such as computers, drills, meters, etc.
- Collaborate & communicate clearly and regularly with internal & external stakeholders.
- Other tasks as agreed upon by the Field Operations Manager.
- 5+ years of field construction experience.
- High School Diploma required; Post Secondary education or designations in management, construction, logistics or HSE considered an asset.
- 3+ years of experience managing construction teams, with demonstrated leadership ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a “keep calm” personality.
- Comfortable working in remote locations on the coast of BC.
- Comfortable on boats, as many of our landing sites are boat access only.
- Experience with Federal, Provincial and Territorial permitting, regulations, and guidelines.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to work in a variety of capacities to get the job done, including active construction duties.
- Intermediate or higher skill level of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and clean driver's abstract.
- Must be double vaccinated and provide a valid COVID-19 vaccination record.

**Who will you be working with?**

You will be collaborating with our various departments including Projects & Permitting, Operations, Environmental, and Construction staff, but reporting directly to our Field Operations Manager. Effective team collaboration and communication skills are essential. The team’s expertise and project tasks are diverse, presenting an opportunity for collaboration amongst team members to mentor and learn from each other.
