**Classification: Part Time 20hr/week (1 year term)**

**Reporting to: Executive Director**

**Job Summary**

The Client Service Assistantis responsible for assisting clients in the Client Choice Market with food selections, making appointments, directing them to other available services and food literacy education support. This Indigenous position includes _providing advice and guidance on cultural traditions, activities and initiatives_ to all staff, volunteers, and clients of the Colchester Food Network.

**Responsibilities include**:
**Client Services**
- Assist with the coordination and management of client services appointments
- Assist with client registration
- Provide guidance, education, and support to clients with regards to the client choice market
- Assist with training, as needed, of volunteers in the Client Choice Market
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of the Client Choice Market and Sharing Kitchen spaces
- Provide necessary support and assistance to all volunteers
- Provides clients with information and/or referrals to other community agencies.

**Administrative**
- Answering phone and responding accordingly
- Welcoming and providing support to in person visitors and donors
- Assistance with other miscellaneous administrative duties

**Qualifications**:

- **Understanding of Indigenous culture, traditions and activities.**
- **Understanding of food insecurity for First Nation Communities.**
- **Understanding of preparing Indigenous Cultural Food**
- Grade 12 or higher education
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication Skills
- Honesty, integrity and commitment to the Mission of Colchester Food Network are essential

Pay: $18.00 per hour
