We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time **Buyer **to join our team.

**Job Summary**:
The Buyer is responsible for communicating with vendors, material handlers, and project managers to ensure all needed materials are delivered in a timely manner to the proper location, processing vendor returns and managing shipment inaccuracies.

**The responsibilities for the Buyer will include**:

- Performs Daily purchasing functions, issue RFQ's, and order follow-ups.
- Issue purchase order as per BOM, PM requirement.
- Ensures purchase orders are entered in a timely and correct manner, as per Armo standards.
- Communicates delays and issues to all stakeholders.
- Understands and maintains the purchasing requirement as defined in the ISO manual.
- Resolves materials claims with vendors.
- Attends continuous improvement meetings and demonstrates Lean manufacturing techniques and capabilities.
- Performs onsite audits of suppliers.
- Ability to foster strong, impartial, and ethical relationships with vendors.
- Manages outsourced work to predefined external suppliers, best fitting internal requirements, and external capabilities.
- Continually research and investigate cost saving opportunities.
- Communicates with Logistics department to manage on time delivery of material.
- Assist with shipping and receiving, act as back-up shipper/receiver.

**Education, Skills and Job Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field of study
- 2-5 years of related job experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, a team focus, and the ability to work in cross functional teams and develop collaborative relationships.
- Effective decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure/stress to meet tight timelines and schedules.
- Knowledge of Global Sourcing, including Customs and freight procedures for import/export of goods.
- ERP/MRP systems knowledge as well computer literacy, including working with office 365.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation skills as well as conflict resolution skills.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Familiarity of metal processing, tools, steel properties, pneumatic components, and electrical components.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to demonstrate Lean Manufacturing techniques and capabilities.
