The Project Leader - Academic Quality deploys internal and external academic quality cycle and audit activities (e.g., AEQM, CQAAP, IESPQAA) managed by the Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) department, including partners delivering college curriculum leading to a College credential. The incumbent leads the comprehensive planning, development, and review of academic programs, including the coordination of faculty, administrators, and external impact groups to ensure programs align with institutional goals and meet quality, regulatory, and accreditation standards.

**Qualifications**:

- 4 year Degree in a related field with additional credentials in Education, Project Management or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a related field
- Experience in a post-secondary environment is an asset
- Proven leadership experience working with external agencies and impact groups
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design and development
- Advanced technology skills - experience with Learning Management Systems an asset
- Strong research skills, including proficiency with utilizing academic and applied research publications, and statistical data
- Exceptional writing skills with demonstrated success in proposal writing
- Must be able to reliably commute daily and/or relocate to North Bay, ON

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the scheduling and execution of internal and external academic quality cycle activities, ensuring alignment with institutional standards and education sector benchmarks
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of quality cycle activities and outcomes, compiling comprehensive reports for the Manager, Academic Quality and Dean, Academic Centre of Excellence.
- Contribute to the creation, updating, and dissemination of academic quality resources, including manuals, guides, templates, checklists, etc.
- Analyze academic quality metrics and data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and success stories, contributing to evidence-based decision-making
- Identify opportunities for improving academic quality processes and systems, leading to initiatives to implement these improvements
- Ensure planning and continuous improvement of academic programs align with institutional and academic strategic goals
- Oversee the development and cyclical review of academic programs, incorporating feedback from stakeholders and adapting to emerging trends and needs
- Coordinate with Academic Leads, Faculty, and other relevant impact groups to integrate diverse perspectives and expertise into program development and review
- Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in current programs and opportunities for new program offerings to meet student and market demands
- Act as a resource regarding quality activities and policies of MCU, MLITSD, CVS, PEQAB
- Oversee cycle and development-related expenditures and budgets
