**About the role**

Toujours ensemble (TE), a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the potential of young people aged 6 to 17, is looking for a **bilingual** (English, French**) Student-Parent Support Worker (SPSW)** to join our passionate and dynamic team.

As a SPSW, you’ll play a key role in helping English-speaking teenagers stay in school. Your mission will be to analyze their needs and provide the appropriate support. You will develop meaningful relationships with young people, their parents/legal guardians and the school team, contributing to student success under the supervision of the Pathways to Education program coordinator.

**Main responsibilities**
- Given that the nature of the position involves working in an English-speaking school and interacting with young people who sometimes only speak English, it’s important to be able to perform the tasks listed below in both English and French._
- Be responsible for the follow-up of 30 young people, maintaining ongoing contact.
- Analyze their needs and propose a personalized action plan.
- Record all relevant information on the student’s progress at school and in program activities.
- Act as a liaison between Beurling Academy and the Pathways to Education Verdun program.
- Supervise tutoring periods.
- Plan and lead edutainment group activities, awareness-raising workshops and, occasionally, short trips outside the regular schedule.
- Get involved in the organization by participating in internal working committees, and activities offered to the community.

**Position requirements**
- Undergraduate degree or DCS in the field of education (special needs education, teaching, social work, psychology, psychoeducation, etc.) or similar significant experience.
- Oral and written bilingualism (English and French).
- At least one year of experience working with young people.
- Ability to lead a group.
- Autonomy, collaborative spirit, initiative, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the Verdun community or school environment is an asset.

**Employment conditions**
- **Maternity leave replacement**:one-year full-time mandate (35h/week) Monday to Friday, with possibility of extension.
- Hourly rate: $20.80 to $27.95 (based on current salary scale).
- Flexible schedule, from mid-August to the end of June (45 weeks/year), adapted to the school calendar. Opportunity to participate in the organization’s summer program.
- Stimulating workplace, situated at Centre de persévérence Marcelle et Jean Coutu, 601, 2ndAvenue in Verdun, and at the Beurling Academy high school point of service.
- Occasional short stay outside of Montreal and enriching weekly activities.

Toujours ensemble is a Verdun-based youth organization founded in 1979, whose mission is to help young people aged 6 to 17 develop their full potential through educational and recreational activities. The program provides a range of supports needed to succeed in school, including access to after-school tutoring and mentoring services, financial support, and individualized support by a Students-Parents Support Worker (SPSW).
