**Remote Waste LP - Wastewater Field Hand**

The Wastewater Field Hand is responsible for assisting in the setup, teardown, maintenance and on-site repairs of Remote’s Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) and the ancillary equipment comprising the on-site Wastewater Treatment System (WWTS). The Wastewater Field Hand must ensure; Remote

Waste’s equipment and services are provided at the highest level of quality and safety. The Wastewater

Field Hand also is responsible for ensuring all work activities are carried out in a safe manner through adhering to all applicable safety policies, procedures and guidelines. Finally, the Wastewater Field Hand is to conduct their role in a manner to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and be mindful of reducing Remote Waste associated expenses.

**Reporting**
- Reports directly to the “Operations Supervisor” of Remote Waste or as otherwise directed.

**General Duties**
- To deal with Clients and all personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensuring that all maintenance of WWTP and ancillary equipment is set-up, torn down and maintained as per the specifications and procedures outlined Remote Waste’s WWTP operating manuals and in-line with best practices developed through continuous improvement
- Responsible to travel to job sites as requested to install/ service/ repair wastewater treatment systems including pumps, hoses, electrical components and all other Remote Waste equipment located onsite.
- Responsible for ensuring time spent on all activities is tracked and timesheets are submitted to the office when required.
- To ensure Remote Waste’s services and equipment are provided at a highest level of quality
- Keeping all WWTS and equipment clean and organized
- Identifying areas for improvement related to processes and procedures for the operation and installation of all equipment and support services
- Ensuring service vehicle is operated & maintained in a safe manner and within the applicable laws and regulation for the operating jurisdiction/province.
- Ensuring the service vehicle is fully stocked with all the appropriate parts and materials prior to leaving the shop as to perform the tasks/job(s) required. This includes always carrying additional parts & materials so you do not have to return to base and can carry on to another job in field.
- Note that all items in the cab, service box or trailer are to be securely stored as not to freely move around and in the event of a collision become projectiles._
- Responsible for adherence to Remote Waste safety programs as the SAFETY MANUAL reflects as well as all safety requirements when/while onsite at all client facilities.
- Responsible to be available for work and engage in work activities at all times when designated and “FIT for DUTY”
- Assist yard/shop team with their duties when required
- Perform any other roles or duties as assigned.

**General Responsibilities and Requirements**
- First and foremost, leading by “EXAMPLE” and in a positive professional manner
- Being a strong contributing member of the Remote Waste team.
- Adhering to the policies and guidelines outlined in Remote Waste’s Code of Business Conduct policy.
- Being accountable for the work performed and ensuring that the time and effort expended meets the requirements of the position outlined herein.
- Ensuring that the best interests of the Company are upheld when it comes to time management and your deployment or use of Remote Waste resources
- Supporting and enforcing all company policies, procedures and directives through positive reinforcement.
- Providing positive and clear direction in terms of employee and overall team performance.
- To be available to help management, when requested, to streamline all aspects of safety, efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Showing up for work in a punctual manner
- Participate and contribute to Remote Waste safety programs.
- Ability to be away from home for days/weeks at a time

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
