**What You'll Do**:

- Operating and monitoring control systems for waste water treatment and distribution. The goal is to produce treated water that meets regulations.
- Collects water samples for chemical testing and treats the water with appropriate chemicals.
- Reads flow meters, gauges, and other instruments to measure water output and waste content levels.
- Analyzes test results and readings, and makes adjustments to equipment and systems as needed.
- Monitors and inspects equipment for malfunctions, responds to alarms and abnormalities, and takes corrective action.
- They maintain records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Maintains equipment, inventory of chemicals, and ensures tidiness of the area of work.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Completion of high school or Grade 12
- Strong aptitude for chemistry.
- Ability to work in hot, humid conditions.
- Ability to use personal protective equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for approximately 25% of the averae work day.
- Forklift license or the ability to take in-house forklift training.

**Preferred Characteristics**:

- Working knowledge of waste water treatment and control procedures.
- Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes and MSDS labels.
- Working knowledge production management computer system and other related internal control systems.
- Completion of a college program in water and waste water or a closely related discipline; or equivalent.
