**Health & Safety / Quality Control Coordinator Position**

As the Health & Safety/Quality Control Coordinator, you're pivotal in safeguarding our organization's commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. Collaborating with all levels of the company, you'll streamline processes and empower our team with the knowledge to identify hazards effectively. Your responsibilities span across ensuring workplace safety, facilitating thorough inspections, delivering comprehensive training, and implementing robust safety measures. As a secondary component to the position, you will assist in monitoring the manufacturing and production quality control processes, to ensure that products are made in accordance with requirements and specification. Quality controllers ensure that required product standards are met to satisfy contractual obligations of the business.
- **Health & Safety aspects of the position**:_

Ensure Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations
- Advise employees and managers on maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
- Maintain and update safety management documentation and records
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk controls
- Facilitate Calstone’s JHSC committee
- Workplace Inspections
- Ensure Workplace inspections are being completed
- Observe employee interactions to ensure safe systems of work
- Accompany MOL and 3d party safety inspectors on site

Provide Training and Education
- Deliver training on safe work practices and hazard awareness
- Educate employees on avoiding harm and maintaining safety
- Administer Legislated Training
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Advise on Regulatory Compliance
- Work in collaboration with HR Manager on compliance with health and safety legislation
- Assist with safety management system audits and safety documentation
- Updating and maintaining SDS Management System
- Conduct Safety Incident Investigations
- Investigate incidents in collaboration with HR Manager to identify causes and recommend control improvements
- Propose changes to equipment, procedures, training,

Implement Health and Safety Policies & Processes
- Work in collaboration with HR Manager to implement H&S policies and improve processes
- Educate on emergency evacuation procedures
- **Quality Control aspects of the position**:_
- Monitoring quality performed by other departments
- Ensuring that quality requirements are met by entities placed under the control of the quality department
- Accurate and consistent documentation; documentation of all activities, facilities, equipment and instruction during manufacturing process to ensure that these items are in good operating condition before being distributed or sold to third parties
- Compiling and maintaining records of manufacturing process that ensure quality products are produced
- Accurate reports on quality control activities performed by assigning them to an area or department for further processing as per required timeframes, as well as ensuring product delivery date to customers with due dates.
- Identify problems within the processes for review or cancel manufacturing when needed
- Monitoring and checking for abnormalities in products, out of specification requirements and non-conformities
- Correcting problems when found by identifying resources, initiating a problem resolution procedure and corrective action plan when necessary
- Developing quality control plans to eliminate existing or probable defects before production takes place
- Ensuring that products meet the required standards and specifications consistently
- Monitoring the progress of corrective actions when product defects are identified by confirming completion dates
