**What responsibilities will you have in this role?**
- Assists Campus Recreation Coordinators in the design, planning and development of select Campus Recreation programs.
- Performs administrative duties for select intramural and extramural programs and events, including liaising with volunteer coaches and students, scheduling, and transportation, and completing and submitting all required forms.
- Assists in supporting students and volunteer coaches at select intramural and extramural tournaments and events. Including offsite travel needs.
- Supports the promotion and marketing of Campus Recreation programs through various on-campus initiatives.
- Responds to inquiries from Ontario Collegiate Recreation (OCR) institutions for select extramural programs.
- Assists in supporting the Sports Information & Media Coordinator with select Campus Recreation social media initiatives and promotions.
- Plans, organizes, and executes the annual George Brown College United Way CN Tower Climb and associated promotional campaign in coordination with the Student Life department.

**What qualifications do you need for this role?**
- Two year Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field is required.
- Must have Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
- Two (2) years’ experience required in sport and/or recreational programming, including program design, planning, execution and oversight.
- Experience in social media marketing and content creation an asset.
- High level of customer engagement skills, including creative thinking and capacity to exercise good judgment and professionalism.
- Sound conflict management skills and ability to deal calmly with angry or upset individuals.
- Can participate effectively within a team and has a high understanding of diversity and equity issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficient in MS Office.
- Valid Ontario non-probationary Class G driver’s license required.
- Demonstrated commitment in delivering excellent service to others - key in supporting the success of our students and College.
- Effective ability to interact with others and deal with situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience, and styles.
- Flexibility in adapting to change and in participating in consultative decision-making processes.

**Hours of work will vary depending on operational needs. Some evenings required.**
