Over 80 physicians and specialists, alongside a broad roster of complementary health care disciplines, provide health and lifestyle management services on site and by video consult for individuals, families and organizations. Our team of 700+ staff see clients virtually and physically from our downtown Toronto and Oakville clinics.

The Role:
The Marketing team at Medcan is accountable for managing Medcan’s marketing campaigns and communications. With an emphasis on product and service marketing, omni-channel campaigns, and ideation, this role will help to grow the Medcan brand in all areas of marketing such as brand awareness and lead generation.

This is a summer internship opportunity that will run from May to August. The role will work closely with various members of the team and will report to the Manager, Marketing (Go-To-Market) while being part of a corporate environment, an active participant in a designated project, and a member of a highly collaborative team.

Our paid internship program gives students practical work experience, learning and development workshops, social outings, and an opportunity to meet with our CEO and executive team members.

The Accountabilities:

- Play an active role in ensuring the success of key projects, including coordination of campaign assets, tracking progress, liaising with stakeholders, and meeting deadlines.
- Develop marketing briefs and instructional documents to inform team members of what is needed to for various projects
- Update marketing team members on project status and task deadlines, while ensuring workback schedules are continuously updated in our project management tool
- Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to collect, organize, and deliver required assets and materials for conference or sponsorship deliverables
- Ideate and perform research around latest industry trends and best practices
- Research and strategize new ways to acquire net new clients, both private and corporate
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks and provide support as needed.

The Requirements:

- Current student in 3rd or 4th year at a post-secondary institution
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration/Commerce, or similar
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required, Salesforce would be considered an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player with a desire to work in a collaborative environment
- Highly analytical and comfortable with quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Strong time management and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Self-sufficient individual with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive

This is a summer internship opportunity from May to August. This is a hybrid opportunity working 2 days/week in our Toronto office. You will work 5 days/week between Monday to Friday.
