Development Officer, Corporate & Community Partnerships

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Campfire Circle is currently seeking a Development Officer, Corporate & Community Partnerships to join our dynamic Development team

Reporting to the Director, Corporate & Community Partnerships, the Development Officer, Corporate & Community Partnerships is accountable for the cultivation and implementation of fund development plans with a major focus on third party event fundraising to support Campfire Circle’s long and short-term development goals.

The key accountabilities of the role are:
**1)** **Community Events Program**

**a)** Lead the management of the community giving revenue stream ensuring we reach or exceed targets, supporting over 175 annual 3rdparty events and/or fundraising partners

**b)** Lead the analysis of the 3rd party fundraising portfolio including segmenting the portfolio by risk, opportunity and value

**c)** Manage a portfolio of community events, providing event management and fundraising guidance; and oversee the relationship management of a portfolio of key fundraisers, donors and event organizers

**d)** Represent the organization at community events, taking a leadership role to engage the public with the organization’s mission, vision and funding priorities

**e)** Oversee the renewal of community events through engagement and stewardship to ensure a high retention rate

**f)** Lead the community event reconciliation in order to ensure proper adherence to the organization and CRA policy in collaboration with peers

**2)** **Corporate Partnerships Program**

**a)** Act as primary relationship manager to an assigned portfolio of mid-level corporate partnerships

**b)** Achieve revenue targets for the portfolio, developing strategies to actively engage existing corporate partners to renew or upgrade their partnerships

**c)** Participate in assessment, cultivation, and solicitation of new corporate partners in collaboration with the Director, Corporate & Community Partnerships

**3)** **Planning & Evaluation**

**a)** Support the Director, Corporate & Community Partnerships with the execution of the strategic plan, including but not limited to revenue budget tracking, forecasting and accountability for metrics and variances within the Community Events portfolio.

**b)** Evaluate performance and achievement of strategic objectives and metrics, providing regular updates to the Director.

**c)** Ensure best practices are established and maintained in record updating and data entry of moves management with donors/prospects.

**d)** Collaborate with Director, Corporate & Community Partnerships on event processes and procedures, event staffing schedule and portfolio allocation.

**4)** Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager or their designate.

**ABOUT YOU**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Required Criteria:_

a) A post-secondary degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

b) Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in fundraising with an emphasis on event and employee engagement based fundraising, with portfolio targets exceeding $500K

c) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of staff, donors, fundraisers and volunteers

d) Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills

e) A proven ability to work independently with the flexibility to take on a wide variety of assigned duties and projects

f) A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with senior level volunteers

g) A demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines and work under the pressure of time constraints

h) Demonstrated experience monitoring and adhering to a budget and business plan

i) Detail oriented with great organizational skills

j) Experience using CRM donor database (Raiser’s Edge experience advantageous)

k) Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

l) Current driver’s license and insurability
