We are seeking a dedicated Child and Youth Worker to join our Navigator Program in Oakville, Canada. In this role, you will provide essential support and guidance to young people facing various challenges, helping them navigate through critical periods in their lives while promoting their well-being and positive development.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for children and youth in the program
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support when needed
- Facilitate individual and group sessions focusing on life skills, social skills, and emotional regulation
- Coordinate with families, schools, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate case notes, progress reports, and program documentation
- Advocate for youth needs and connect them with appropriate community resources
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and adjust support strategies
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences
- Implement safety protocols and risk management procedures
- Provide mobile support services within the community as needed

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working directly with children and youth
- Demonstrated knowledge of child and youth development, mental health, and family systems
- Strong case management and crisis intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build rapport with youth and maintain professional boundaries
- Experience in program coordination and implementation
- Proficiency in documentation and report writing
- Cultural competency and experience working with diverse populations
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- Clear criminal record check required
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed
- Strong knowledge of community resources and support services

**Additional Information** Site**: Required to work offsite as needed

**Salary**: $32.585 to $40.770 per hour
