Yard Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a **Yard Supervisor** for our **Vancouver BC **branch. The Yard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the yard/warehouse, managing yard workers, responsible for inventory, and coordinating other operational activities.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Supervise, schedule and coordinate yard and warehouse activities.
- Hire, train and manage Yard Employees. Schedule yard activities and provide oversight on day-to-day priorities.
- Responsible for inventory management, and ensuring rental transactions and transfers are completed in a timely manner.
- Manage scaffold inventory and preventative maintenance program.
- Assist site supervisors in day-to-day coordination and management of scaffold equipment needs.
- Determine inventory requirements, and work with branch networks to obtain necessary equipment to meet customer needs.
- Coordinate logistics with customers to meet client demands.
- Organize dispatch truck drivers to ensure prompt delivery and pick up of rental equipment.
- Responsible for the safety and well being of direct reports, and for providing a safe work environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Oversee truck and material handling fleet, preventative maintenance, and work with the Site Supervisors to determine future requirements.
- Responsible for facilities management, including the office, warehouse and yard, which includes scheduling maintenance, working with vendors, and ensure compliance with federal and provincial code.
- Manage and purchase inventoried items in the Branch such as PPE, tools, and consumables.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- High School Diploma required.
- 2+ years of Operations experience.
- Previous experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management and organization skills in order to meet various competing deadlines.
- Ability to self-motivate.
- Ability to work within a team and build a positive team environment.
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment with competing demands.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Ability to display sound and accurate judgement with the ability to resolve problems in a timely manner

**Salary**: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
